Reputation
Antoine Triplett is just a guy that loves his grandmother something fierce. Nobody really knows where he works or what he does, but he damn sure makes sure his grandmother is taken care of.
However, for those in, allied with or enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D., they may know Agent Triplett as something more dangerous. An operational specialist, Triplett is as effective in the field as he is off the field. With practiced medical expertise, some limited mechanical aptitude and a splash of technological know-how, Agent Triplett is quite the threat/asset.
Also, his grandfather was a Howling Commando.
Biography
For as long as Antoine Triplett could remember he's wanted to be a soldier. Ever since he would sit with his Grandmother and hear stories about his Grandfather, the Howling Commando, he's wanted to follow in those footsteps. And that's exactly what he did. He breezed through his younger years, gaining excellent marks in schooling and graduating with ease. He skipped past the collegiate options, diving right into the military. He wasn't there long before he was personally recruited by an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. to join up.
Under the tutelage of his Commanding Officer, Triplett took to being in S.H.I.E.L.D. like a moth to a flame. He excelled in most of his physical training and even some of his more intellectual pursuits like the medical field. Sure, being trained to become an Operations Specialist required a certain amount of becoming a weapon but it also meant becoming the very thing the organization stood for: a shield. Trip sought more out of Operations than just taking out the bad guys, he wanted to protect the good and the innocent as well. Save lives.
Pushing himself to continue his rise in the ranks, following in the footsteps of his legendary Grandfather, Antoine rose through the ranks rather quickly. He landed himself with a Level 6 Security Clearance and since then has been active operations specialist for S.H.I.E.L.D., being shuffled around from assignment to assignment. Waiting for the right time, the right team, to shine on.

Character Details
Calm. Cool. Collected. This is Antoine Triplett. He manages to keep a smile on his face even in some of the darkest hours. He's well trained and relies on his training and his skills to keep himself level-headed and capable of doing what needs to be done. However, he does not do this at the expense of his humanity. For all the military training and spy tactics, Trip makes sure that he doesn't ever lose his sense of humor or his charming demeanor. He's both playful and witty, almost always ready with a quick quip or sly remark.
Trip is also a fiercely loyal and trustworthy person. He says what he means and he means what he says. Honesty is a huge thing with Trip and he believes in that more than anything. He also believes in people, which could ultimately lead to be his downfall. He doesn't particularly have or keep any pre-conceived notions about people beyond the fact that humans are inherently, well, human. They can be good, they can be bad. It doesn't matter. What matters is that the people he cares about, the people he trusts, they are who they say they are and then some.
Overall, though, Trip's confidence comes from his background. He is, more or less, a modern day Howling Commando. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Trip fights for those that cannot fight for themselves. He fights to protect the world from things that go bump in the day or the night. He fights to make sure that the good guys win. He's confident, brave, noble and a breath of fresh air in times that can be as troubling as they are.
Antoine Triplett is a ray of damn sunshine in a dark and brooding world. Real Talk.
Acting |
As a by-product of his intense operational training, Trip is well versed in the act of becoming someone he is not. A combination of military and S.H.I.E.L.D. training has equipped him with the mental fortitude and abilities needed to play a host of roles during covert operations and shadow assignments. |
Athleticism |
Trip is naturally athletic and with training behind him, he has been pushed into a realm higher than that of average soldiers and agents. Trained in various practices of athleticism and physical aptitude, Trip's body is designed to both deal out and deal with punishment in a fierce way. Coupled with an intense workout regimen and impressive stamina, Trip's physicality goes far beyond average limits. |
Combat Specialist |
Agent Triplett is a highly trained combat specialist of incredible ability. While he may not be one of the best in the world, he is certainly in the realm of Above Average in terms of physical combat. From classic hand-to-hand to martial arts to even specialized training for his chosen profession, Trip can handle himself (and protect others) in a fight. |
Marksman |
Trip is a dedicated marksman with well documented and accounted for accuracy marks. Top of his class, Trip is capable of firing ranged weapons through the most extreme circumstances and with minimal distractions. A steady hand this one has, even in the face of grave danger and bullets. |
Mechanical Aptitude |
While he is nowhere near being a genius with this stuff, Trip possesses some mechanical aptitude with machinery and vehicles. His knowledge level is high enough that he could likely jury rig something or even make an improvised weapon for limited use. He could also do light patch jobs and repairs to planes, boats and various automobiles. |
Medical Training |
Agent Triplett is well versed and trained in what constitutes as beyond classic first aid. He has a deep understanding of the human body and is a certified medical officer of credible skill. While his medical knowledge is an asset in saving people's lives and understanding/deducting issues that may be life-threatening, his knowledge can also be used to his advantage in combat situations through the use of vital strikes, pressure points and other combative uses. |
Operations Specialist |
Trip is a highly skilled operative of S.H.I.E.L.D. and being an Operations Specialist puts him in the 'one man army' category. Trained in everything from deep cover assignments to commando operations, demolitions and a host of other spy tactics, Trip is more than capable of going into a situation alone and coming back out on the other side. With the mission accomplished. Agent Triplett is, for all intents and purposes, can be one man wrecking crew if he needs to be. |
S.H.I.E.L.D. Training |
Agent Triplett is called Agent for a reason. He's been through all of the S.H.I.E.L.D. basic, special, covert, medical, military and tactics training that S.H.I.E.L.D. puts their hopefuls through. He's passed them all with flying colors and he stands proud as a member of the organization. He has the same background as almost any agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. with a few custom specializations that fit his own natural talents. |
Soldier |
While S.H.I.E.L.D. is not exactly a military organization, Trip has been trained to be a soldier in every sense of the word by his commanding officer. Trained in various military tactics and strategies, Trip has (at the very least) adept knowledge in a variety of military operations and movements. This means things like morse code, military jargon and even military maneuvers are all within his scope of knowledge. |
Technological Prowess |
Nowhere near being a technological marvel or genius, Trip is more of an intelligent geek that understands technology. Mixed with his mechanical aptitude, Trip has the ability to maybe jury rig or create temporary solutions to technological problems and things of that nature. His knowledge allows him to assist with problem solving and deduction, but he's not going to be inventing any cool gadgets any time soon. His expertise is more in the realm of using them to their greatest ability. |
Vehicle Specialist |
Agent Triplett could be considered a wheelman by trade. Not that his vehicular expertise is limited to only land vehicles. He has the skills to pilot planes and jets, as well as other modes of transport. Combat and pursuit maneuvers are also within his scope of ability. |
Weapons Specialist |
While Trip excels with firearms and the like, he is trained to use weapons of all kinds. From ranged to melee to unorthodox technological gadgetry and weapons from S.H.I.E.L.D.'s research and development team, Trip is well versed enough to be able to handle them all. He's even capable of using objects as improvisational weaponry should the need arise. |
S.H.I.E.L.D. |
As a mid-level ranking agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Triplett has access to a variety of bells and whistles. Resources such as vehicles, weapons, technology and other assets are at his disposal and usable for missions related to S.H.I.E.L.D. and other clandestine assignments. His security clearance also allows him access to some things that those with a lower security clearance are not allowed to have or even know exist. |
Legacy |
Trip's grandfather was a member of the Howling Commandos. This is not something that Trip likes to brag or even talk about, on account of wanting to earn his own way. Still, there are times when playing the Legacy Card may come in handy. |
Indomitable Loyalty |
While there are those out there that have an incredible strength of will, Triplett has an incredible sense of loyalty. When he devotes himself to someone, something or some cause, he puts his entire being into it. He defines himself on being trustworthy and loyal to the point of it being a definite advantage should he ever be tested or tempted by the dark side. |
Howling Commando Gear |
Trip doesn't broadcast this, but he does have access to some honest to goodness antique Howling Commando gear from years ago. Classic gadgets and technologically superior for back in the day, there's a chance that this stuff may come in handy some day. Plus, it has some serious sentimental value. |
Contacts |
You don't become an Operations Specialist for S.H.I.E.L.D. without making contacts both within and outside of the organization. Through his contacts, Trip can get information, resources and various other things that could be crucial to any assignment at any given point in time. Never know when such things can come in handy. |
Going Dark |
There comes a time in every spy's life when they have to disappear. When they have to cease to exist. Sometimes it is for a couple of hours and other times it could be for an indefinite time. Agent Triplett has the resources, skills and knowledge to effectively "disappear" when such an order is given. |
S.H.I.E.L.D. |
For all intents and purposes, Agent Trip kind of belongs to S.H.I.E.L.D. They trained him, they know him and they can make his life a living hell. Not only that, but being an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. just comes with all the normal drawbacks of being a spy. Personal connections or relationships beyond his job are a no-no. On top of all this, there are just some tactics and strategies that S.H.I.E.L.D. are known for and that makes agents like Trip somewhat predictable. |
Following Orders |
This one is two fold. As an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Triplett has to follow orders. Especially from his commanding officers or anyone that is a higher level than he is. But on the flip side of that same coin, Trip also has a mind of his own and will often go against the rules or the book in order to do what he feels is right in any given situation. |
Situational Humanity |
It cannot be said that being a normal human is a flaw or a disadvantage. It has more to do with the fact that the world is changing and things that are not human are popping up all over the place. These situations make being a human in them, trained for epic spy things or not, more dangerous. There are things out there besides conventional weapons, natural causes and diseases that could hinder or harm him. |
Grandmother |
Agent Triplett's grandmother is still alive and is a big part of his life. This knowledge in the wrong hands could make her a liability to her grandson. Family is a big part of Trip's life and who he is and protecting them is something he has to do. |
The Team |
Agent Triplett is all about working with others and working as a team. He's capable of doing things by himself but the Howling Commandos were a team. They had each other's backs and they could all trust each other with their lives and their secrets. That is how Trip feels about certain members of his Team. This makes them both assets and liabilities. |
