On this world many see him as an up and comer in the criminal mutant community. These incongruent images may make life complicated… Biography EARTH 626 (BROTHERHOOD) COLOSSUS BIOGRAPHY 1985 - Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin is born at a remote farming collective in Siberia. 1989 - After having scribbled on the walls many times, Piotr's parents buy the young man some art supplies, starting a hobby he will keep for the rest of his life. 1995 - Buys his first Neil Diamond album. 2001 - The teenaged Piotr accidentally triggers his mutant ability to shift into a large, more powerful armored form when a runaway tractor nearly kills his baby sister. His family keeps his mutation a secret. 2002 - Having grown to be a physically imposing young man, Piotr begins working for a local crime family as an enforcer in order to keep food on his family's table. He advances quickly from collecting protection money to smuggling and selling illegal arms. 2004 - When a bad deal degenerates into a firefight, Piotr is forced to shift into his armored form to save his life, exposing himself as a mutant. Convinced that he can never return home, he accepts a position with the Brotherhood in exchange for protection of his family. 2005 - Implicated in multiple crimes. Leaves Russia and goes into hiding. 2006 - Spotted in Afghanistan, presumably selling illegal arms as part of an attempt by the Brotherhood to wage a proxy war. 2007 - Participates in an attack on a mutant prison. The Brotherhood liberates nearly all of the prisoners, leaving none of the guards alive. 2008 - Participates in the destruction of a pharmaceutical company that claims to be working on a cure for mutancy. 2009 - Assists with the takeover of the Cape Citadel missile base. 2010 - Part of a Brotherhood strike force that invades Santo Marco. 2011 - During a period of turmoil within the Brotherhood, Rasputin is found living in New York City under the assumed name of Peter Nicholas. He achieves some amount of local celebrity as an artist before being arrested. Escapes while in transit to a mutant detention center, presumably with Brotherhood assistance. 2012-14 - Infrequent sightings. Presumably in hiding, potentially attempting to retire. ALTERNATE REALITY (X-MEN) COLOSSUS BIOGRAPHY 1987 - Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin is born just outside the Chernobyl disaster site. 1989 - Toddler Piotr survives a fire in the family's house without a mark on him. The child is considered odd, but his parents attempt to protect him from the intrusion of their government into their affairs. 1990 — Piotr receives his first paint set and acquires a long term love of the arts. 1993 — The Rasputin parents die tragically (in an effort to protect their kids), and all three of the Rasputin children are subjected to experimentation from their government. 1994 — The children, and the other mutants undergoing experimentation are freed by the X-Men. They are then raised in Xavier's mansion. 1998 — Governmental instability and distrust towards metahumans results in the registration act. Some peacefully comply; others see it as a trap. 2000 — Mikhail becomes an extremist and joins the Brotherhood of mutants. Governmental restrictions mean that movement becomes more challenging for unregistered mutants. 2004 — Peter has his first art show. It's a huge success. 2006 — Peter becomes a full-fledged X-Man and defends the world against the attacks of the Brotherhood. He simultaneously completes his training as a paramedic. Having first responder status seems important in light of everything going on in the world. 2009 — Peter dates Kitty; the pair become inseparable. 2012 — The Sentinels are first introduced to navigate the metahuman problems associated with registration and compliance. 2013 — The Sentinels take over all form of governance and see no difference between metahumans and humans. Metahuman deaths are on the rise. The X-Men are disappearing one at a time; both Kitty and Illyana die. 2014 — The war between Sentinels and everyone else is unmanageable. People serve the Sentinels as slaves. A small enclave of Metahumans (including Brotherhood and X-Men who'd previously been enemies) work together to try to fight the Sentinels. Colossus acts as a tactician and soldier in their army alongside his brother Mikhail. Present — The last onslaught of fighting means that the Sentinels have truly won. While taking a rather large beating, Colossus sees a flash, and is convinced this is the end… but he's brought to a very different reality.

Character Details Personality Peter is soft spoken, gentle, and shy. He has edges, but they aren't easily found or crossed. He has a desperate love for all things beautiful, right, and whole, and appreciates time for forethought and action. Despite this, he also has a very prominent impish side, mischievous, but not unkind. He values friendship, family, and justice above all else. Abilities X-men Training Training with the X-Men for most of his life has brought Peter into peak physical condition. He works out daily, and has undergone combat training from the X-Men on his version of earth. Consequently, Peter has excellent stamina, and can hold his own in combat. Organic Armour Peter can draw an organic armour around his body, encasing himself in a protective layer of nearly indestructible metal. In this state he doesn't require sustenance or air to survive. This state increase his weight and body mass substantially. Artist Peter is an accomplished painter and sculptor. His skills with a brush began when he started under Professor Xavier's tutelage as a young boy. They blossomed while he studied at Xavier's Institute. He's beyond proficient at painting. First Aid While not a doctor, as a paramedic, Peter has some training as a first responder. Strength Whether related to his mutant ability or hours upon hours in a gym, even in his human form, Peter is very strong. Having trained with the X-Men for the majority of his life, he can lift around the same as most professional body builders (~500 pounds bench press; ~700 pounds squats; ~700 pounds deadliest). In his armoured form, Colossus can lift exponentially more (~80 tons). Durability In his human form, Peter is as durable as any average person, but in his armoured form, he has incredible durability and toughness. He is highly resistant to physical wounds in his organic form. Any conventional means of damage (bullets, stabbing, punches, etc.) have no effect on him when in his armoured form. Other powers enacted against him, however, can influence him. He would feel the influence of another strong-powered metahuman (punching etc. would have impact). Furthermore, his armoured form does not protect him from telepathic influences. Advantages Revolutionary Coming from a very different version of Earth can give a person an edge on goings on in some respects. Thinking about events and their potential from multiple vantage points can be useful when in context of how wrong things can go. Survivor Despite his world going to hell in a hand basket, so far Peter has managed to survive each and every assault, and not just because of his armour (it doesn't stand a chance against what's taken over his earth). X-men? On his world the X-Men were both his family and his allies. On this one, they may not trust him thanks to their Piotr's alliance with the Brotherhood. Disdvantages Alternate Earth Peter isn't up to everything historically that has happened on the earth he finds himself. Having been swapped with Peter from this reality, confusion does happen. Huge In his armoured form, Colossus is not REMOTELY stealthy. He is too big to fit in many vehicles, and too heavy for activities like swimming. Wanted Evidently, on this earth, Piotr is a wanted a criminal. Having come from another earth, where life is very different, Peter is both wanted and relatively unaware of it.
