Biography
Lunair was not born named Lunair. She started life as a Muriel. Regardless, Lunair was born a very sickly kid with little immune system to be spoken of. She wasn't allowed to be held and even then, only with protective gear. Most of her early life was spent in filtered rooms, with cleaned toys and everything. She wasn't expected to live past 8.
A sense of despair and desperation drove her parents to sign her up as part of an experimental medical treatment with several other children who had similar problems. It started with good intentions. But Lunair was kept at the hospital and labs with the others, so she grew distant from her parents over time. Even with TV and some books, she missed out on a lot of critical socialization at a young age. It's left her considerably stunted.
At first, things seemed well. The subjects grew healthier. But as time went on, and some of them began to hit 10-12 years of age things began to get weird. Incidents occurred, and some were manifesting powers. And that's about when things got all Resident Evil up in there. Wanting to test the extent of recovery and power gain, the tests got out of hand. More of the kids began to manifest powers, and Lunair herself ended up manifesting hers when the one kid who could turn into a freaking dragon dude came after her. Freaking out, she pulled a sword out of nowhere and proclaimed herself a knight. This then ended up in a several hour argument between the two on whether girls could be knights or not.
Thankfully, no one was maimed. Things went on, with some training being given to the children although most of it was aimed at understanding their capability rather than functionality. Rather than send their subjects home, parents were told their children were dead and any remains treated as hazardous waste.
However, having a building of middle school aged children with super powers was just sking for trouble. And trouble happened. No one knows the exact details, but a girl capable of moving earth and stone itself 'freaked out' and brought the buildings down, cratering the place. Also, most of the surviving staff agreed that messing with powered children was a terrible place. Lunair was adopted and renamed out of guilt.
Lunair ended up being trained privately and with paramilitary forces. She was homeschooled, and managed to get the equivalent of a high school diploma. Also, she has awesome bonsai.

Character Details
Lunair seems to be a decent enough person. She is friendly and resilient. She just also happens to have an unfortunately violent side, too. While it may not be her personality directly, a dire lack of socialization has left her somewhat blunt and easily confused by social fineries. But she usually means well. Usually.
However, she does have to really work on that violent side, lest she get pulled into fights, murder and worse. It is easy for her to forget how easy it is to kill someone.
Mercenary Training |
Or how to fight gooder without being smashed oneself! Lunair's style of fighting seems feral and chaotic at best. But she is indeed, trained not to put her eye out or shoot anyone else in the face. She's ahead of at least one vice president! Despite her age, she has been at it a few years and does seem to be pretty talented. |
Smrt |
Lunair is actually pretty intelligent. She does, after all, have to create the items she makes and make them /work/. Who understands the principles behind a dubstep gun? It's a bit alarming if you think about it (then again, so are scorpion reproductive rates and we're better off not thinking about those). But she's young, and combined with horrific levels of undersocialization and such - it doesn't always show. |
Drive Like You Mean It |
Lunair is actually really good at driving and stuff! She can totally ride a motorcycle if she sits down and learns. It's a bit odd. But she totally parks between the lines. |
Not In The Face! |
Lunair is good at shooting! Sometimes in the face. But she's a good marksman, so it's never at party members. Unless someone just turned evil or something. In seriousness, Lunair is a good marksman. |
Like A Fox |
Lunair is pretty clever sometimes. A lot of the time. She's got more brain power than shows. But maybe that's a perk in a way. |
Matter Conjuration |
Lunair creates things and has discovered she is no longer limited to just weapons. They didn't check her abilities too closely. Over time, she will be able to make things like body armor with a moving visor, etc. She also can create weapons and explosives, like mundane guns (See: The local neighborhood shotgun) and explosives (Hello, C4!) to light sabers, dubstep guns that make cars bounce and people dance. In other words, she can create bizarre weaponry that has possible unexpected effects as well. She cannot, however, do things like ICBM missiles. She is limited to weapons usable by one or two people at most. Missiles would just be silly. A max power weapon would be something similar to the laser guns on a mech or shoulder mounted weapons. |
Wealthy |
Lunair was paid off for her silence about the medical trial gone awry, and did received some inheritance when she turned 18. Also, she's a mercenary. A pretty good one, considering things. |
Not A Bikini But… |
Lunair has a set of comparatively high tech armor, complete with a moving visor. She doesn't talk much about where she got it. Something about cross-dressers and a mission at a showing of Rocky Horror gone awry. Nevertheless, it blocks a great deal of damage, including falling from a story or two and most mundane firearms. Also, stylin'! But then, hopefully she doesn't end up chased around by vengeful Transylvanians. |
Under A Rock! |
For the most part, an experiment tightly controls what its subjects see and do, what they learn and where they go. While Lunair's made impressive strides, she's very /odd/ sometimes, as she didn't get out and socialize much or really partake of TV and the internet. She talks in stilted ways sometimes and she's terrifingly impressionable. She'll be at a distinct disadvantage against social powerhouses. |
No Cowbell |
If she uses her powers excessively, Lunair begins to suffer from fever, weakness and potentially even hallucinations. She can collapse and/or pass out. Which makes fighting awkward. And sadly, cowbell does not cure her fever. Only time does, and she's likely to have a nasty cold the next day. Likely, it's due to the treatment restoring her immune system AND giviner her powers. |
-not So- Secret Agent Man |
Having a new identity can be both a boon and a bane. Someone particularly talented on digging up information just might find out that Lunair has a new identity and happens to be a lost part of an experiment/project that some folks just might be very much interested in having back. Stupid awesome serum in her veins. |
To Kill A King |
Killing does awful, awful things to one's psyche, particularly when young. Lunair's got some mental issues as a result of it. Even if she manages to do pretty well most days. |
You Are Being Hunted Sir |
No one intended any of the kids in the medical trial to end up as they did. But what happened was incredible, and Lunair /does/ still have that serum and those genes in her blood. Those could be useful. Or someone might just want a guinea pig back. Hopefully they do not put her in a guinea pig fur suit. Because that's just weird. And terrifying. |
