So once again it's a normal day at the Dojo. Students are coming and going, taking advantage of all the place has to offer. Danny had taught all of his classes for the day so it no hanging out in the office eating some lunch that he grabbed. Of course he does have another meeting planned in a little bit, but well hopefully he finishes eating just in time for that meeting. He can't really remember what it's supposed to be about but just that he has it.

But hey it's a meeting with some of his favorite young heroes, the Titans. Not sure what else he needs to talk to them about though. Maybe it's time to schedule some more training for some of them or something like that. But Danny sits and eats some of his Egg Roll as he waits for the meeting to start.

***

At least one of the Titans at least. Zatanna Zatara appears out of nowhere just outside the Dojo with soft 'pop' sound, before walking inside. The raven haired woman is dressed in a sweater dress, leggings, high heel knee length boots and a diamond encrusted collar.

As she enters the Dojo, she pauses to look around watching the students coming and going, smiling brightly as they glance over at her. It's obvious she's not quite sure where Danny might be, and is looking for someone to direct her.

***

Well it doesn't take long for one of the staff to spot the young lady that doesn't seem to know where she is going. "Uhm miss? Can I help you? Are you here to volunteer or is there something else we can help you with?" Hey have to be careful when you don't know the people that just show up in an area full of kids these days you know.

***

"Oh Hey" Zee smiles brightly at the staff member "I have a meeting with Mr Rand, do you know where I can find him? Or would you let him know Zee, ummm Zatanna Zatara is here?" Looking around the Dojo, she shrugs "I'm part of the Titans and I think we volunteer here sometimes."

***

"Oh. I'll get him for you." After that the lady heads over to the vacant reception desk, hey it is a Sunday after all, and presses the intercom button, "Mr. Rand there is a Ms. Zatara here to you see you?" After that there is a voice that does answer, "I'll be right out to show her around."

And a moment, there is Danny Rand walking down the hall and having towards Zatanna, "Hi Ms. Zatara, how are you today?" He asks while he extends his hand towards her in a greeting. "My small little office is right this way if you want to follow me. Or would you like a tour first?" He figures he'll wait for the real meeting part when they get to there.

***

"Zee" Zatanna shakes his hand, frowning slightly as her hand tingles. "Call me Zee, everyone else does." Glancing towards his office and then around again, she smiles brightly "The tour, I think… Sounds like fun."

***

"Zee it is then." He says as he starts to lead the lady around on the tour. "Well not much to see here, we are a rather small practice but we do try and help." He stops at the first spot along the way, "This is the dining room and the kitchen area. There are about 13 million kids in this country that go hungry. Of course they don't call it that anymore it's been dubbed being food insecure. Being "food Insecure" ruins health, causes problems with aggression, raises infection rates, and destroys academic performance. So we have a simple rule here, everybody eats." He says that with the serious look on his face, hey he takes this completely serious of course.

He continues walking, taking them to the next area, there are a few rooms setup like standard classrooms, "The tutoring area. We have several volunteers who tutor the kids, and help them with their schoolwork. The better the grades, we arrange for more privileges for them." He pauses after that for a moment, "You know thinking about it know a magic show would be a great privilege for the kids."

***

"It's pretty impressive… and eating is important." Zee looks as serious as Danny about the issue. The classrooms get a good look over and Zee tilts her head towards the young man "How many kids do you feed and tutor, do you think?"

His suggestion of a magic show gets a typical Zee smile "I'd be happy do something for you, of course. I'd do it for all the kids… " Zee has the means to help, and she will. "I do shows for fundraisers and such, doing something for these kids would be awesome."

***

The young billionaire hmmms for a moment, "You know I'm not really sure of the exact number. But if I had to guess I would say currently about 100 to 150 kids. I am still working on getting more in here. So been trying to think of ways to get more interested. Right now I would say a majority of them are under 13, so well need a way to appeal to more teenagers I guess." Hey maybe he can setup a twitter spot or something, that works for teenagers, right? But after that he walks on to the next session, "Well we will have to setup some kind of show them."

So he ends up at the next area, it looks like a large dorm room, "We have a few dorm rooms setup. A lot of the kids in the area don't have the best home life. So if they can't get any sleep at home, they are allowed to spend the night here. We have at least one volunteer or staff member here at all times to make sure they are okay. If there are more here we will increase the amount of people around of course." He pauses once again after that to let her take it back in, "So what do you think so far?"

***

Zee has been walking beside Danny, slowly taking it all in. The dorm rooms get a raised eyebrow Zee turns as she looks around the dorm room "How long can the kids stay? Combined with the food, this must be a great, and safe, place for them."

The number of kids gets a nod from the raven haired woman "Under 13's is a tough age group… require slightly more supervision." His question gets a big smile "Pretty impressive, Mr Rand… and if I can help with getting more kids to come to you, let me know."

***

"As long as they feel they need to. The goal though is to help them out. But we would like to get them into a loving environment as well. Sure we can help them out here, but there is so much more that parents can do compared to us." Hey it is true, after all. "But sadly we can only help those that want help, and that goes for the parents as well." He pauses one more time after that, thinking for a moment, "If I can think of anything I will. Not sure the best way to get them in here to help."

After that he moves on with the tour, "Now we have daycare. Some of the kids that come in here do have younger family members, So we have arranged a place for those younger ones to come and get taken care of as well. But they do need more direct supervision of course." After that he goes to the last room, "And finally we have the dojo. Teaching them martial arts was a good way to get them in the doors. Plus we also have them meditate as well, which increases concentration and lowers stress. Something they need as well." He pauses after that, "We tried to use that to get the older kids involved. But we found they just wanted to learn to fight for the wrong reasons. The kids seem to better grasp that it's an art form, and discipline needs to be involved." He stops after that and looks at her, "So that's my entire operation here. Any questions?"

***

"It's an extensive operation, Mr Rand." Zee didn't realise just how extensive. Propping herself against wall, she crosses her ankles as she watches him "I can imagine teenagers just wanting to learn how to fight… I think that's a little sad really. But teaching the younger ones, must be rewarding I think." Peering into the dojo, the young magician smiles "Meditation … helps with so many things."

***

He smiles at that one, "Well we try. It just started out as a small place for me to help kids with something just to build their confidence. Something that was needed in this area. But then when I started to see there was a lot more that they needed well the operation just expanded to fit those needs. I never thought it would get as big as it has gotten." After that he starts to walk towards his office.

"It is a little sad, but well in this neighborhood it can be expected sadly. Just need to try and teach them that Martial Arts isn't just about kicking someone's butt." Once back at the office he offers the young lady a chair, "Can I get you anything to drink?"

***

"It's a good thing, Mr Rand." Zee takes a seat and crosses her legs, smiling brightly at Danny "A drink would be great. Soda?" Tilting her head, she nods slowly "Keep doing what you're doing, I'm sure the kids will soon learn… and you'll attract the ones you can work with. The others" she sighs softly "may end up in trouble, but you do what you can do… right?"

***

He heads over to the little mini fridge that he has in the office and grabs a cola for the lady. After walking back to the desk he sets it down in front of her, "I do try and do what I can do. Plus some of the other people in the neighborhood have started to help. But some of the kids just don't respect authority figures around here either." He sighs after that.

"But now, can I help you with anything? I asked you here to see if I can get you to put on a show for the kids. But sounds like I already convinced you for that. So no need for me to try and give you the speech or anything." Of course he didn't really have a speech, he was going to beg or toss money at her, whatever worked.

***

Accepting the cola, Zee beams "It doesn't take much to convince me" she shrugs "A good cause and you're asking me to do a show… what more could a girl want really?" Leaning back in her chair, she thinks a little "You know… I'm trying to get a regular show up here in the tri cities, would you consider a field trip for the kids? You could convince me to do special shows for them."

***

"If their grades are good enough I'm sure we can arrange something like that. I'm sure the kids would love to spend a day away from it. Could see about arranging a few other things for them at the time so we can keep them out all day as a reward for good work." He thinks some more after that, "Definitely can do this now that I think about it. May have to get some parent permission, though." That would be the tough part of course.

"So have to picked out a spot to do a regular show? I may be able to help you with that as well." He can't keep track of the real estate anymore, is sure his company has got to own some kind of theater somewhere. "I would have to look at what is available, but well I do have some connections around here." He does give her a smile after that, "Thank you, I'm sure the kids would love to see you perform."

***

"I think they would too." Taking a mouthful of cola, Zee nods to Danny "It could be one of the bigger incentives for them." Blowing out a breath, the young woman shakes her head "Don't have a location just yet… I've been speaking with my business managers about the idea. They all like it and a few places have approached us but nothing has really appealed to me." Offering Danny another smile, "If you do find something, I would like to know about it." Zee grins mischieviously "From the reviews, lots of people like to see me perform. But seriously, it's my pleasure."

***

"It sounds really good, and hope that it is the right incentive to get them to work a little harder. Will have to find a good challenge for them think that does go beyond good grades." He gives her a smile when she comments, "Oh I'm sure a lot of people do. I know I am looking forward to the performance as well. Hey even if the kids sadly don't make the goals, I'll make sure I'm there at least." He thinks for a moment, "So what are you looking for in a place? One that will appeal to you?"

***

"I really don't know, Mr Rand." Zee looks thoughtful for a few minutes. "I've been approached by a few hotels, but… I don't know." She shrugs a little "They can afford to give me a regular show… and people can come for a meal and stuff… but they aren't really family friendly." Smiling sheepishly, the young woman shrugs again "So, for people who come, being able to get a meal at an affordable price. Being able to do shows where kids and the family can come too… does that make sense?"

***

Danny nods at what she says, "I understand what you're looking for. Sadly don't know many places like that off the top of my head. Though I can get some of my people to help look for a place that meets your needs." Hey if not he has someone buy a place just for her perform or something like that. "But good that you want to keep it affordable, that is really nice of you."

***

Zee drinks her cola as he speaks and nods a little "It was good to actually be asked what I was looking for… " she gives a small smile "I'm keeping my eyes open and my business manager is talking to a few places too. Affordable is important… " she doesn't really need the money.

"Now Mr Rand, I understand that it's part of The Titans agreement with you that we volunteer here… apart from the shows, how else can I help out?"

***

"Have you considered opening your own place? Could be the best way to get exactly what you want out of it. Plus you can use it to give aspiring magicians a place to perform if you would want to do that." He gets up after that and goes to grab his own drink, "Need a refill you are you good?"

He gives her a slight smile, "They do, but I do give them stuff in return for volunteering. Mostly I do teach them what I know as well. The few years in Tibet have given me a decent amount of knowledge. So if you want we can do that same exchange. And it's whatever you feel comfortable doing over here. I don't ask anyone to do anything they wouldn't want to do."

***

That has Zee's eyebrows rising "No, I hadn't. I'll consider that… I like the idea of having others use it too." Looking at her cola, Zee shakes her head "I'm good thanks." The talk of volunteering gets a smile "I'm pretty versatile and I like to learn new things… let me know where you need help and I'll pitch in." Zee grins a little "I wouldn't mind learning a bit more self defense, relying on my magic all the time isn't a great idea." Tilting her head, she frowns a little "Tibet? I knew you had been there, but not much more than that."

***

"It's one of the reasons I get to stay around, I do think of some of the things others hadn't. It's the businessman in me I guess." He returns with his own drink, and sits down, "Well we can always use some daycare workers? How do you feel about taking care of kids?" He doesn't mention the diapers, that just seems to scare people away.

"10 years in Tibet, my family was there on vacation, doing some mountain climbing. There was an accident and well I was found by some monks." He pauses after that and takes a drink, "It's from them I learned Kung Fu, until I was old enough to leave and come back to America." Yeah he leaves out the whole ancient city part and of course killing the dragon.

***

Zee laughs "I can do some time in daycare, that's fine… I'm…. not all that familiar with young children." That's should be obvious because she hasn't thought about diapers and the mess little ones make. "I would like to try other areas as well too." Leaning forward slightly, Zee listens to Danny's story… "That sounds fascinating. No wonder you're into helping the young ones."

***

"Well also when I came back I have found out that I was a billionaire and I have gotten used to living very simply. So well after much thinking decided to take some of the money and use it to help others. Of course kids were my first choice to help." He smiles and takes another sip of the drink, "Or there is always a need for tutors, so if you think you can help teach some we can also have you do that."

***

"That makes a heap of sense." Zee doesn't comment on Danny's billionaire status "And it's good to see someone helping out." The young magician shrugs with a smile "Let's just see how things go, hey? I'll help out with the daycare to start with. I'm kind of looking forward to it." Finishing her soda, she looks around for a trash can. "It's been great Mr Rand… but I think I need to get going soon…"

***

He gives her a smile and gestures at the desk, "You can just leave it there, I'll take care of the can." He smiles some more and extends his hand one more time, "It was a pleasure Zee. And I look forward to seeing you around here more often."

***

Zee stands, handing Danny the can before she shakes his hand again. "Next time" she says with a slight frown "You can tell me why my hand tingles when we shake hands." With a grin, the young magician heads to the exit "Total pleasure, Mr Rand. I'm looking forward to helping out here."
