Somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean

While Kara had no way to track down Kah-Ran Zor-L aka Power Girl, she did have a way to track down Karen Starr who was rather well known.

Leaving a message on her personal voice mail, Kara would say, "Hi Kah-RUN. This is Kara. I want to show you something. Please meet me at the following coordinates: *coordinates*. BYE BYE!"

Those coordinates happened to be over the Atlantic Ocean, literally the middle of nowhere. Kara is floating above the water looking at her phone, groaning to herself, "Is she EVER going to show?"

There was a voicemail in return. "Thank you for calling Starrware labs. I mean, to get a message from Supergirl is pretty amazing. I'm gonna arrange a boat to go out there, uh… and if it's something cool and sciencey that can help us out, that would be great beyond belief! … …thanks bye!"

About an hour later, there was another voicemail.

"So, funny story - I managed to get POWER GIRL to help me out. She's so amazing and cool and fun - if you could give whatever to her, that would be great, okay? That way you don't have to wait out there /so long/," she says.

And not five minutes later…

o/~ Power Girl o/~ arrives in full costume, her little red cape fluttering in the wind as she comes onto Kara's position, the woman not very smiling at the moment. "So, uh… what do you need, shrimpy? Karen says you have something amazing and sciencey out here?"

Kara's hands are on her hips as she stares at Power Girl, "Uh, right. You expect me to believe… you know what, never mind. Your disguise is worse than Supermans."

She points down towards the ocean, "Care to go for a swim with me /Power Girl/? If not, you're welcome to go home to Starr Labs and do errands for your Master Karen Starr!"

Kara dives down into the ocean without hesitation or waiting!

"You know, Karen's just this smart, sassy CEO person I know," says Karen. "She's not really my /master/ or anything," says Peej, kinda setting her hip to one side and waggling her blue-gloved hand. "You should go have lunch with her - then you could be all jealous of the relationship I have with h… … /hey/," she says.

"I wasn't done!"

With a roll of her eyes, she dives too, after Supergirl.

Kara is diving further and further towards the bottom of the ocean for a journey that takes several minutes even with superpowers. Where she is going becomes obvious when a structure that looks decidedly like something that might have come from Krypton is seen on the ocean floor.

She waits for Power Girl to catch up before pointing inside and swimming through the glowing portal that seems to serve as an entrance.

When Peej is inside she gestures around, "Welcome to the Sanctuary of Solitude Kah-run. I thought I'd share it with you, like, if you miss home at all and just want a nice quiet place to relax." Of course, if Kara is there it might not be so quiet.

Now, this might be a little odd to hear, but Peej hadn't actually done a lot of water stuff. You know, under the ocean, that sort of thing. Clenching her jaw against the rushing water flowing past her, she holds her hands against the sides, narrowing her eyes as she barrels through the portal to find…

Well. The place had looked like Krypton beforehand. After entering it proper?

"…it's like home," says Peej, a lot of her normal tease having left her voice, her eyes glancing around the place. "Where…" she says, "…did you find something like this?"

Kara reaches out to take Karen's hand and lead her further into the structure, "It was a gift from my father, a final gift you could say. I wanted to share it with you." She leads Karen into a large central area where images of Krypton are displayed on the walls and says, "Sanctuary, turn up lighting to one hundred percent."

"<Acknowledged Kara.>" A computerized voice can be heard transmitting. Suddenly the lighting in the room feels like you're bathing in the warmth of the sun and the effects are the same.

Kara really hoped Power Girl wouldn't hate her for this, especially since she was offering to share!

Glancing down at the hand as it was taken, Peej (not Karen Starr why would you think that) doesn't quite squeeze Karen's hand in return. But the woman was touched - that much was obvious in the softening of her features, her eyes flickering towards the displays as they near them. Pulling her hand from Kara's own, Peej purses her lips at that.

Purses her lips and lowers her head as the sun shines down on her. Conflicting emotions ran through her.

But in the end, it was a little tear that appears at the edge of her eye, the woman bringing up a gloved hand to wipe it. "…are we back on Krypton? Is that what the portal does?" she asks.

Kara had considered pranking Power Girl and telling them they were back on Krypton when she asks, but she shakes her head and explains, "No, it's just a splinter. A shard of the planet grown from self-replicating crystal. Krypton will never be back Kah-Run, it's gone.." She sighs softly, "..forever."

Peej was far too clever to fall for a ruse like that. Regardless, Karen breathes out a long sigh, brushing her hand through her hair. "Well - this is quite a gift your father gave you," she says, her features turning down into a bit of a frown. Drifting near one crystal formation, Karen extends a hand - and rests it against a jutting shard, breathing out a long breath.

A tap of her fingertips against the crystal. "Thank you for showing me," she says, a bit of a pause leaving her before she looks back towards Kara. "…but why would you show me this?" she asks. "I mean… you're El, and I'm… not."

Kara smiles brightly, "Well, it's actually all part of my nefarious plan to get revenge on you for punching me into the Moon." She tries to look evil now, but fails utterly, "Ok, well really, you are El still whatever happens and I wanted to share this place with you, so you might, be my friend."

"I thiiiink we got even on that when you threw that boulder at me, Kara," says Karen, kinda snorting.

Half because of the joke, and half because Kara tried to look evil. "Yeah, keep trying, kid," she says to that evil look, giving her a wink. Turning her attention away from Kara, she glances over one picture - a landscape of Krypton. Karen's features harden a bit, and she lifts her gloved hand to brush across the image.

"You ever been here?" she asks, pointing at the thing.

"Yeah, I was lucky enough to travel a lot." Kara didn't want to brag to Karen though given the differences in their upbringing, "You can pretty much look at any part of Krypton you want, thanks to the memory crystals. Anytime you want, just come here and you can look back at home." She's staring at the vista herself, as much as she loved Earth she still missed Krypton with every little bit of her heart.

"That's… quite a gift, Kara," says Karen. There was conflict in her face, in her features. Bringing up her hand, she rests it on the shrimpy little shoulder, and gives a squeeze there. A handful of moments, and Karen kinda steps away, chewing on her lower lip. Glancing back up towards the portal, she starts lifting off of the ground, her jaw kinda tight.

A moment, and she relaxes further, cutting a heroic figure as she turns to look towards Kara. "I think I can forgive you for the boulder thing for this. Maybe," she says, her voice playful, and lips smiling. "I'll see you around, cupcake," she says, lifting up to fly towards the portal proper.
